About Me

Being an author is an amusing series of ups and downs. As a self-published writer, there are a lot of stories going on at once. A lot of stories means a lot of characters bouncing around and a lot of juggling. It's not easy being an author of fantasy in the real world, but I try to get by.

Surprise, surprise

So, it turns out that the fucking anger at my job is good for fueling something after all. It reached a peak today when I found out they're really screwing over some friends of mine. Being that I only work weekends, I wasn't as hurt by the changes as other people I work with. One lady has worked here since the day it opened. She's done everything they ever asked of her... including weeding the flowerbeds because they were too cheap to get a gardener or even cleaning the boss' house. She is the most-complimented staff member we have and she basically just got fired.

I can't get into more details or I'm likely to burn the place down in anger. Instead, I've put all my fury into writing the fight scenes for the final chapters of my third book and they're turning out awesome if I do say so. I'm allowed to love what I write, typos and all, it's an author's perk. I can see the final product through the rules of grammar and spelling. Sometimes I wish I could draw or animate or film it so people could actually see what I see, but I'd probably need an endless budget. Good luck getting a loan for that right?

Well, back to writing what my friend and head editor calls my masterpiece. :-)
