Well, the wonderful break that I was looking forward to is basically over. Spring Break closes today and tomorrow starts the grind up again. I hate to say it but I wasn't very constructive this past week. Well, I was but not to my usual standards.
I spent most of my time sleeping it seems like, but I guess I needed that too. I didn't finish the rough draft of Fulfilled like I had wanted to, but hey there's still the rest of today right? I did get it much closer though and Sebastian has two lovely new chapters up. The one is a beast at 3 pages.
The Character Free For All I hosted on my forum went well and I think everyone enjoyed it. It was a nice change from trying to get the characters to fit in their little literary molds. It's refreshing to "let them out to play". It's kind of like cleaning the sludge out of an engine. It's squeaky clean and ready to purr like a kitten again. Well, that's the hope at least.
This week will be full of fun new challenges. I start a new clinical site for school, I have to purchase my graduation cap and gown, and there's another conference to go to. This conference though is more like a working gig. We show up and provide manpower and in return we get to hear a few lectures. I hope we raise some good money from the raffle we do. We could all use nice checks to pay for the registries we have to take.
Well, before it gets too busy at this job of mine, I'm going to try to wrangle some more sentences onto the page...
Staying positive and focused,
Jennifer
Follow author Jennifer Feuerstein through the trials and fun of writing. I'll be discussing my books, my future plans, and the fun of dealing with an entire cast of characters living "upstairs" while moving through life. Welcome to the ramblings of The Crowded Mind.
About Me
- Jennifer Feuerstein
- Being an author is an amusing series of ups and downs. As a self-published writer, there are a lot of stories going on at once. A lot of stories means a lot of characters bouncing around and a lot of juggling. It's not easy being an author of fantasy in the real world, but I try to get by.
