About Me

Being an author is an amusing series of ups and downs. As a self-published writer, there are a lot of stories going on at once. A lot of stories means a lot of characters bouncing around and a lot of juggling. It's not easy being an author of fantasy in the real world, but I try to get by.

What a week

I had approached this past week as being a great time to get things done and see my wonderful boyfriend...

*Loud buzzer interrupts* WRONG

I left before he ever woke up and got home after he'd already left. So, basically, I never saw him. And, it turns out the only thing more tiring than scanning all day, is watching someone else do it. And standing for hours and hours and hours really does hurt the back and feet.

So, I would get home and barely have the energy to make something for dinner, let alone write or get things done. I would basically just vege out on the couch, aimlessly surfing the internet. I did manage to write a little bit on Sunday, but the brain fizzled out a little after I started. Matter of fact I ended up erasing a whole page of what I'd written. I just didn't like it.

I know it sounds crazy, but authors do make missteps. It happens when we try pushing ourselves too hard. Thankfully I don't really have anything due on Monday for school so I'm hoping I can write at work today. Unfortunately, it's Valentine's weekend which means the hotel will be full of people getting it on and expecting the most for their money... *eyeroll*  I really hate Valentine's Day. When I take over the world I'm doing away with it all together. LOL

So not wanting to work,
Jennifer
