I actually got out of clinic early today. Did I race to the stores, debit card in hand and claim BUY, BUY BUY?
No I didn't. LOL I wanted to, but really I had more important things to do. I raced back to see my wonderful boyfriend before he left for work. Then, I remembered that my coffee maker had broken Monday morning. Oh no, I do NOT get going without coffee. What's a girl to do?
That's right, I waited for him to leave for work, making a list of things I needed from the local Walmart. (unions kiss my butt, they were a great employer) As soon as he was gone, I loaded myself back into my little blue beast that's now purring (thank you dad) and headed to the store. Here was my strategy... get the groceries into the cart first, then I wouldn't be able to meander through all the aisles. Once I had my cold groceries, I skedaddled over to the non-grocery items... including a new (cheap) coffee maker. My only requirements: 12cups, programmable, and pause brewing... $30. Yay me!
Of course, to see the *cough* interesting *cough* people surfing through the Valentine's offerings makes you happy that there must be someone for everyone.... try it sometime, you'll think Halloween suddenly showed up again. I hate Valetine's by the way, but I won't get into that... maybe for Vday itself...
The rest was boring and necessary... no fun craziness for me. Really at Walmart, don't think so. If I go crazy, it's going to be at my favorite stores: DSW, Borders, Victoria's Secret, and JC Penney.... and I plan to hit all of those on Monday, well, not the VS Store. LOL
Anyway, I come back from the store and unload. Of course, I have to wash dishes to be able to make myself dinner. Go figure. Once I start doing that, I stumble across a bunch of dirty towels so a load of those goes in the wash (I need to put them in the dryer and wash my clothes too). And while I was cooking and cleaning and listening to music it dawns on me... this is why I'm always running out of time and not being able to get to my fun things.... I'm always picking up new things to do. It's those damn ducks again. I can't get to the ducks at the end of the line until I put away the ducks in my way... *sigh* It never ends really. Well, I had another epiphany after a moment of frustrated horror. I CAN find a way to make time. Somehow I managed to read 3 interesting books... of course, I missed hours of sleep to pull that off and I'm not sure that's very commendable. But, I must be able to come up with a better plan.
Well, here's the deal. After classes on Monday I won't be in the mood to write (trust me), so I'm going to shop then. After all, my boyfriend will already be at work so I won't be missing an opportunity to see him. As for what's left of tonight...
*smiles*
It's for writing... and laundry, but what's a few pauses to shift laundry around... First up, a chapter or two of Sebastian to get the juices flowing and soothe his fans.... then, to work on Destiny Fulfilled.
I have a test on Monday I need to study for, but I can use work for that... hahaha...
Happy to be writing again

About Me
- Jennifer Feuerstein
- Being an author is an amusing series of ups and downs. As a self-published writer, there are a lot of stories going on at once. A lot of stories means a lot of characters bouncing around and a lot of juggling. It's not easy being an author of fantasy in the real world, but I try to get by.
