About Me

Being an author is an amusing series of ups and downs. As a self-published writer, there are a lot of stories going on at once. A lot of stories means a lot of characters bouncing around and a lot of juggling. It's not easy being an author of fantasy in the real world, but I try to get by.

I feel it only fair to tell you...

I feel it only fair to let you, my readers, know about an upcoming change. The monthly collection Digital Digest that I wrote for is being tweaked to better fit our reader base and allow the RHP authors more time to bring you a slamming quarterly edition. The new changes will take affect in Jan 2012, so December will be the last month with the current format and it may be slim pickings for the final edition. I, myself, barely had time to submit the Daria and Sebastian serial pieces. My contributions for December will not include a book review or a short horror piece.
Unfortunately, this means change and I know how people hate change. I will try to lay this out as well as I can. A lot of the changes are still in the planning and development stages. So, here goes:
1. There will be no monthly Digital Digest ebooks.
2. There will be no more daily posts.
3. There will be quarterly anthology ebooks available.
4. Those quarterly editions will revolve around a central changing theme -which is still in discussion.
5. Those quarterly editions will contain short stories, probably around novella size.

What do these changes mean for my contributions? Simple- serial pieces will no longer be included in Digital Digest ebooks. Therefore Daria and Sebastian will not be appearing unless I come up with a short, completed side piece for them.

Before you grab for the rotten food, rest assured that Daria and Sebastian will still be updated for you here on my personal blog under the Free Reads label. I will also work toward completing them and putting them out as full books -hopefully in 2012 but don't hold me to that or Fate will come looking for me. Murphy's Law loves to knock me on my ass.

I probably will not have many pieces included in the new formatting since any of my readers will know I'm not a short story writer *cough, cough*. Let's look on the bright side though. Not having to scramble to complete monthly pieces for the Digital Digest blog/ebooks will free up time to actually complete many projects I have stacked in my files. Just think, you may not see my pieces monthly on a regular schedule but I'll finally be able to put out completed projects... What's that? I think I just heard my publisher give a sigh of relief.

IF and AS my schedule allows I will also try to add a label for book reviews and carry them over to my personal blog as well. For that plan I will keep you posted. With the change to formatting affecting Digital Digest, you will also see my website changing to reflect that information. Once I have at least two completed works available, I will also activate the store site for my webpage. Of course, I will keep you updated on any new changes or transitions.

I have truly enjoyed putting together the pieces for Digital Digest and for you. I'm looking forward to giving you the full, completed pieces you deserve. *whispers* And let's hear a cheer for having time to finish revisions on Destiny Calling...

Hoping your Thanksgiving was a happy time,
Jennifer L. Feuerstein
