So, you're work gets recognized as worthy by people with the ability to get your work out to the masses. You scream, you cry, you laugh, you jump up and down for joy... but, then what??
Well, for me at least, you knuckle down to work on edits and run into a huge problem! It's bound to happen to every writer. If you're worthwhile at least. We all grow professionally and get better with our writing. Same happened here, so I get stuff going for the Digital Digest post and then sit down to begin editing Destiny Calling.
Hello wake up call. Writing professionally is a lot of your head meeting the desk and wondering what the hell you were thinking?! Granted I wrote Destiny Calling on a whim and never really thought it'd be released to the masses, but wow. I am shocked by how different my writing was back then and exactly how much work it'll be to clean it up for professional publication.
Some days I feel tempted to throw the thing into a blazing fire and forget it ever happened, but I can't do that. Regardless of the sloppy writing of bygone days, I really feel the story is worth telling. And apparently other people thought so too.
So in case you've wondered why it hasn't been re-released yet, there's your answer. Because I'm currently rewriting and reworking it all while wrestling with self-doubt AND trying to keep up with real life. For those waiting... please enjoy Digital Digest. I really do love my work on there.

Follow author Jennifer Feuerstein through the trials and fun of writing. I'll be discussing my books, my future plans, and the fun of dealing with an entire cast of characters living "upstairs" while moving through life. Welcome to the ramblings of The Crowded Mind.
About Me
- Jennifer Feuerstein
- Being an author is an amusing series of ups and downs. As a self-published writer, there are a lot of stories going on at once. A lot of stories means a lot of characters bouncing around and a lot of juggling. It's not easy being an author of fantasy in the real world, but I try to get by.
