My doctor squeezed me in today to check me out himself because all my labwork came back normal. I wrote down all the symptoms I've had and things I've noticed. The list triggered something in his head and he left to come back with a scientific journal article.
So, what is the mystery illness that's been plaguing my life?
Neurocardiogenic Syncope. Basically my brain misfires to my cardiovascular system so my blood doesn't flow around my body properly causing a whole host of problems and symptoms. The good news is it's controllable. I'm now on medication and a high salt/high fluid diet. I should start to feel better within 2-3 weeks and will have to see my doctor for a checkup in a few weeks.
But, yay, relieve, I'm not crazy!
Follow author Jennifer Feuerstein through the trials and fun of writing. I'll be discussing my books, my future plans, and the fun of dealing with an entire cast of characters living "upstairs" while moving through life. Welcome to the ramblings of The Crowded Mind.
About Me
- Jennifer Feuerstein
- Being an author is an amusing series of ups and downs. As a self-published writer, there are a lot of stories going on at once. A lot of stories means a lot of characters bouncing around and a lot of juggling. It's not easy being an author of fantasy in the real world, but I try to get by.
